Traffic Building From A Different Perspective
we all want to make money online but very few of us have the financial resources to do it big time. There are internet marketers out there who will tell you that if you follow their system or sell their product, you can make a five or six figure monthly income. There are a lot of reasons why this isn’t likely.
That’s not to say that some internet marketers don’t make tens of thousands of dollars per month. Some were lucky enough to have gotten in early. They put in the effort needed to get to the number one spot on the search engines. Once there, the good ones continued to invest a healthy share of their profits to make sure they stayed number one. They aren’t going to give that up easily.
Do you really think you can compete in a niche against affiliate marketers whose monthly spending budget is in the tens of thousands of dollars? Sure, you can subscribe to an article submission service and get your content out there, but so can they and they can do it better because they can afford to.
You don’t need to roll over and die, though. Small militia’s faced with an overwhelming armed force use guerilla tactics and so can you. They may have very few resources, but they use what they have and, if they’re persistent, they win the war.
Take a minute, open your mind and look around you. What have you got that the big time marketers don’t? Could you put that scrapbook album to use as a marketing tool?
Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it? How can a scrapbook make you money online? Well, scrapbooking is a very popular pastime these days. You could make a how-to e-book and sell handmade paper, for starters. Spread the word to your targeted niche and take it from there. You’d be doing something you enjoy and that’s the best way to start any new business.
You’re going to have to do more than just have stuff to sell, though. You’re going to have to do something unique to generate traffic. What else about you makes you unique? Take another look around. Consider that alpine skiing equipment in the garage for a moment. You and your family could take it and go on a weekend cross country ski trip. Take snapshots along the way. When you get home, make a start to finish scrapbook and videotape the whole process. Post the video online and share it with others.
The internet began as a tool for sharing first and only for commerce secondly. People are turning away from the constant sales pitches and turning back to real human interaction. There are hundreds of thousands of potential customers in almost any niche you can imagine. If you enter a niche that you really love, that could end up being the one that you will earn from as well!
